The Ralph Herring Race was originally programmed for May but was postponed due to severe weather conditions. The resailed race on 13th July was in very light airs with a shortened course.

This was the Royal Corinthian organised race from the Medway to Burnham-on-Crouch. Due to light winds the start was moved to outside Garrison Point to avoid the tide in the river.
