The Stroombank Race from Harwich to Ramsgate was organised by EAORA and HAVEN and with 22 entries looked like a very competitive race. Unfortunataly the weather got in the way with heavy squally rain showers and wind gusting at up to 35 knots NW. The start was delayed until 10.00 with only 9 yachts on the line. The wind speed and direction however made it a fast if wet race with Amazon finishing in just over 5 hours.
