Sad Loss - Nick Poole

It is with great sadness that Nick Poole has passed away whilst in hospital in Luton. He was a great supporter of the Crouch Yacht Club and East Anglian Offshore. He served in a number of capacities at the club within the Committee under various Commodores with true distinction. A major character in the clubhouse with a wicked sense of humour - he will be sorely missed. 

Tony Merewether our past Chairman said that "Nick sailed from HPYC and later the CYC with Pedro Dan and then Gambit and then sailed on Inn Spirit in EAORA winning the navigators trophy in 2009 and winning EAORA overall in 2009 and 2014" 

For me as the current Chairman I only got to know Nick within the last few years. I found him so very friendly and polite, I too experienced that wicked sense of humour!
