2020 AND THE REST OF THE SEASON

Our seasons racing has been cancelled to date and with valid distancing rules now in force the chance of getting a good number of crew all huddled up on the rail is a none starter and that sociable get together after our popular events could also be problem for a while.

I am sorry to report that our Offshore Regatta and the Ramsgate feeder race is also being cancelled,  but I enquire about your desire for any racing  for the second half of 2020. (subject to social distancing rules)

We are still waiting for direction from World Sailing before we can commit to an amended 2020 programme, but as chairman I feel that it is important that we get feedback from our competitors about EAORA before I encourage the member clubs to organise some events for the later part of the year.

We are thinking along the terms that the season may be able to start at some point in August with coastal races leading in to October. Is this the sort of events that would interest you?

Nothing has been set in stone at this juncture and this is just me trying to establish an appetite for any racing this year during these tough times.
